A new chapter for longer lives
Our children may live far away. Our dignity should not.
Across India, parents who built careers, families and institutions are entering a longer chapter of life. Their children may live in another city or country. What they need is not an old-age home, but a safe, active and caring community where independence, friendship and belonging can continue.

Illustrative concept. Illustrative concept of older adults walking together in a warm, tree-lined community — independence, friendship, and everyday vitality.
A reality many families recognise
- You spent decades serving as a teacher, doctor, civil servant, scientist, professional, entrepreneur or caregiver.
- Your children care deeply, but their work and families may be in another city or country.
- You are independent today and want community, safety and support nearby before a crisis occurs.
- You want the next chapter of life to offer purpose, friendships, activity and choice — not institutional dependence.
India is changing. The systems around ageing must change too.
Longer lives are a success. But smaller families, migration, uneven care infrastructure, financial insecurity and changing support systems mean that India needs new models for living well in later life.
More than 20%
of India's population is projected to be aged 60 and above by 2050.
Around 2046
India's older population may surpass the population of children aged 0–15 — a demographic shift without precedent.
More than 40%
of older people in India are in the poorest wealth quintile; approximately 18.7% live without an income.
A different response to a changing India
Ananda Living is being created as a dignity-first Active Ageing Community near Bengaluru — a place where older adults can live independently, build friendships, stay physically and mentally active, share meals, access support and remain closely connected to family.

Designed for healthy living
The first community is being designed for movement, connection, nature and everyday wellbeing — a place where older adults can stay active, independent and connected.
Illustrative campus concept
- This is not an old-age home — independent living is the starting point.
- Community, preventive wellbeing and activity are designed into daily life.
- Support is available without removing autonomy; families remain connected.
- The model includes pathways for people with different financial capacities.
- Assisted Living is a future separate phase — not part of the current first-campus promise.

Why this community needs collective support
A community of this kind cannot be created through resident fees alone. Land, accessible common infrastructure, supported-community studios, gardens, wellbeing spaces and long-term community systems require patient capital and collective participation.
- Land or long-term lease partnerships can help secure the first campus.
- CSR and institutional support can help create common and accessible infrastructure.
- Philanthropic gifts can help build supported-community capacity.
- Founding families can help establish the first community.
- Individual contributions can support shared spaces, resident wellbeing and organisational readiness.
Every contribution route will be tied to a clearly defined purpose, appropriate governance and transparent reporting as the project progresses.
India's ageing future is already arriving. The infrastructure for it is not.
The first Ananda Living community will require land, capital, trusted partners and people willing to act before the need becomes a crisis. Your support can help establish a model that families, communities and institutions across India can learn from. Online payment processing is not yet enabled. This form records your support interest and does not charge you.
